Gates' portfolio company, Towne Park, recapitalized by Baltimore-based investment firm

Camden Partners Holdings LLC has invested nearly $10 million in Annapolis hospitality and parking service company Towne Park Ltd.

Towne Park will use the money for a recapitalization of the company and to expand, Camden Partners said in a news release.

"We expect to supplement Towne Park's strong organic growth with a focused acquisition strategy in the years ahead," said Camden Partners' David Warnock, who led the deal with Grace Garry.

Towne Park has more than 100 clients in nearly two dozen markets. The company caters primarily to full-service hotels and resorts and manages services and parking for residential properties, hospitals, office complexes, restaurants and clubs.

Camden Partners operates private equity funds that provide growth capital to emerging companies in the business and financial services, health care and education industries. The company also has a hedge fund that focuses on small-cap public companies and a fund-of-funds that includes corporate finance and venture offerings.
